* generic: provide get_port_stats() on adm6996 switchesThibaut VARENE2017-09-011-0/+32
| | | | | | | | | | This patch provides a generic switch_dev_ops 'get_port_stats()' callback by taping into the relevant port MIB counters. This callback is used by swconfig_leds led trigger to blink LEDs with port network traffic. Signed-off-by: Thibaut VARENE <hacks@slashdirt.org>
* brcm47xx: resolve GPIO conflict for WRT54GSv1Mirko Parthey2017-07-021-5/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | On the Linksys WRT54GSv1, the adm6996 switch driver and the gpio_button_hotplug module both claim GPIO 6, which is connected to the Reset button. When the switch driver's request wins, the Reset button cannot work. This makes it impossible to enter failsafe mode without a serial console. Stop requesting the "adm_rc" GPIO in the switch driver, since it is not used anywhere. Fixes FS#792. Signed-off-by: Mirko Parthey <mirko.parthey@web.de>

* kernel: adm6996: set carrier statusMathias Kresin2016-08-101-0/+5
| | | | | | | Due to the missing carrier status set, the interface wasn't usable on a BTHOMEHUB2B after ip link down and up as it is done in preinit. Signed-off-by: Mathias Kresin <dev@kresin.me>

* generic: fix adm6996 initJohn Crispin2015-10-261-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | Kernel 3.14 added aditional genphy_soft_reset phy reset to phy_init_hw in drivers/net/phy/phy_device.c Since adm6996 does in driver soft reset and doesn't use BMCR_RESET for soft reset add dummy soft_reset callback to adm6996 driver, like it is done in ar8216. This fixes ticket #20147 Signed-off-by: Andrej Vlasic <andrej.vlasic0@gmail.com> SVN-Revision: 47272

* adm6996: the GPIO interface for the adm6996l does not support switch statistics.Hauke Mehrtens2014-07-051-2/+9
| | | | | | | | | This patch deactivates the statistics, adds a missing lock initialization and fixes a waring. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de> SVN-Revision: 41511
* linux/generic: add MIB counters and port status to ADM6996 switchJohn Crispin2014-04-221-0/+126
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds port status information and MIB counters to the ADM6996 switch driver. The driver supports also the older ADM6996L-variant, but I'm not able to test this patch on that chip. According to the datasheet the same registers exist there as well, so I think it should work, but any feedback is appreciated. * kernel: adm6996: add support for ADM6996L and GPIO interfaceHauke Mehrtens2013-11-091-126/+460
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch makes it possible to use adm6996.c on first generation BCM47XX devices with ADM switches. The GPIO bit banging protocol implementation was copied from the old switch driver and adapted to this driver and changed to the mainline kernel GPIO interface. The ADM6996L is different from the ADM6996M which is supported, for both specs are available in the Internet. This was tested on a WRT54GS version 1.0, thank you Dirk Neukirchen for the device. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de> SVN-Revision: 38698
* (respin) 802.1Q VLAN support for ADM6996M/ADM6996FCJohn Crispin2011-05-091-25/+591
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds 802.1Q VLAN support for the ADM6996M chip. The driver is loaded for both the FC and M model. It will detect which of the two chips is connected. The FC model is initialised, but no further functionality is offered. The PHY driver will always report "100 Mbit/s, link up", for both the M and FC models. This reflects the fact that the link between switch chip and Ethernet MAC is always on[1]. Further documentation can be found in the kernel's Documentation/networking/adm6996.txt Signed-of-By: Peter Lebbing <peter@digitalbrains.com> SVN-Revision: 26865
